+ Stage IV - This is the final, worst, stage of the cancer called advanced Mesothelioma cancer. Asbestos cancer cells go into the bloodstream and move to other organs in the body. Cures other than surgery are needed.


Physicians use X-rays, CAT scans, and an MRI to decide the stage of Asbestos cancer. Once determined, the appropriate plan can begin.

Much of the plan may include chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Other treatments include pain management and psychological help. Treatment depends on the location of the tumor, the stage the cancer is at, how far it has moved, age, overall health, and how the Mesothelioma has metastasized.
