Atlanta, GA – July 23, 2010 – MCIPE Constructors and Professional Engineers, a well-known civil and building construction company, publicized yesterday that it has won four new contracts that totals roughly $568 million. The projects were given by multiple public commissions Washington, Pennsylvania, and Missouri respectively. MCIPE will function as Prime Contractor in each contract.
The Lake Tollerton Tunnel project, valued roughly $179 million, was granted to MCIPE Constructors and Professional Engineers on Monday, July 19, 2010. The contract features a new water transmission tunnel in Johnson, Pennsylvania. The modern tunnel will be 3.5 miles long and is believed to be done in around 48 months.
The Washington Heights Bridge project is a $187 million deck replacement and rehabilitation project of the Washington Heights Bridge, the main crossing between Davidson and Putnam Counties, Pennsylvania. MCIPE will upgrade a total of 420,000 square feet of debilitated bridge deck over a span of 2.5 miles. Work is likely to launch in September 2010 and finish up by November 2012.
The Spokane Bay Bridge project, which allows for a $95 million rebuilding of the Spokane Bay Bridge, was given to MCIPE Constructors and Professional Engineers on July 7, 2010. The contract consists of of bridge deck rebuilding and intricate structural, roadway and lighting enhancements on the bridge and approach spans. Work is expected to get started in October 2010 and conclude in August 2013.
The Highway 243 Expansion project is a $107 million highway resurfacing and extension contract. MCIPE will refurbish and increase 25 miles of the highway. Work is expected to begin in August 2010 and end in May of 2012.
