I believe that every marketer or entrepreneur has utilized any tool for social media marketing now, even if some of them don’t know what it’s called. I therefore have this notion that it’s good to share here what I think is going to be the future of these social media sites most of us are so fond of.
Assuming that you’re serious about your social media marketing efforts, it helps that you know how to implement strategies according to the latest trends.
It’s been going on now: that merging of social networks together. I’m sure you have seen that with Open Social, Open ID, and Facebook Connect. Along the way, social network sites are realizing that they can leverage more their potential when they merge with other social network sites.
It’s also becoming a more viable option for people to create a personal brand on more social network sites. Companies would look into both quality and quantity of its network.
One of the reasons for this is that social network sites offer many tools which can be used to create a wide and powerful network. It is foreseeable that many entrepreneurs will be creating a professional image through persistent blogging and participation in Twitter. This will open them for opportunities to compete with the major players in the field.
In the same way, social network sites will be maximized as a marketing tool. Well, primarily because the consumer world will demand it. I usually get questions from my clients like do you have Twitter? Or hey, Jeff, what’s your Facebook ID? We’re almost there. Companies will take blogging seriously. They will Twitter, maintain fan pages on Facebook, and use YouTube for product videos.
When you have multiple number of people connected to you in one social network site to another, it’s just hard to keep up. That is one of the goals of each social network site: to make things easier for you to manage your accounts with available tools.
The future in social networking sites is in making itself mobile. Large social network sites will provide mobile versions for greater accessibility. These are what’s going to happen in social media. Brace yourself and have fun!
