As promised, I’m going to write about creating your own e-book today. But more than anything else, you should plan about what your e-book is going to contain. That is why you have to come up with a content plan for your e-book. Most e-books have forms, worksheets, charts, and other data that need to be included as part of it. You have to ensure that all the information you want to be included are available before you start off writing down content.
There are three ways to come up with content. You can make your own which is considered best since you can have your own copyright, and you can write as many pages as you want on your chosen topic without restraints. The second means of having content is through getting free content from public domain. Usually it used to have copyright but it lapsed so now it’s free for the public. You can also try getting information from private label content (PLR), which is much easier than the former. From PLR you can rewrite some articles, put your own title and name, and own it. Most Internet marketers use PLRs in providing contents on their e-books. You can try your affiliate programs too. Most of them help their fellow affiliates through providing any help they need.
When you’ve perfected your e-book content, you can start building pages now with the use of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher. As long as you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat installed in your PC, not the trial version, all the aforementioned applications can be used to make a PDF e-book. PDF e-books are everyone’s favorite ’cause they can be accessed by Windows and Mac users, but there’s a better one that will not kick off the links to your precious affiliates. That’s when you compile all your pages in HTML.
If you know how to make a simple web site, you’ll know how to make HTML pages for your e-book. If you don’t, then you can check for free web page templates online and look for a free HTML editor and free and quick HTML lesson.
After all these have been accomplished, you need to compile all the HTML pages into a single downloadable file. To do that, you need an HTML compiler software. You can find one in the Net.
That’s it. There’s really no fuss on making it. For as long as you have everything you need as regards tools and addendum data from other valuable sources, you can work on that to-die-for, bread-and-butter e-book content.
