My name is Graeme Hotter and I was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand in 1950 and have constantly favored sketching. My parents encouraged me in art as a child and as we never possessed a Television in those years I used to read through comic books a lot and produce my own comic book strips, to keep myself entertained, typically with me as a super hero. While at Primary School I remember one particular teacher telling me off for reading so many comic strips and bringing them to class in a modest suitcase. At intermediate school I did extremely well in art and specialised in caricaturing. Once I left School I came across a wonderful job in the Farmers Trading, Auckland in their Advertising branch wherein I found out all about advertisements in papers. In 1970 I travelled overseas and finished up in Rhodesia where I was finally drafted for the Rhodesian Army and there did caricatures of soldiers. I spent a long period in Central Africa and cartooned a little for different newspapers and held jobs as an artist at several printing businesses in Zimbabwe and in Johannesburg South Africa. Although I am now a preacher (and loving the clergy for the previous 30 years), I nonetheless keep my hand in art work as a interest, doing landscapes and cartooning for a regional newspaper. I am very keen on desktop pcs as well and have learnt how to generate drawings with a Serif application called Photoplus and Drawplus. http://hotter.tk
