When the ‘Glenn Beck’ show can finish

Fox has had “Glenn Beck” going on weekdays at 5 p.m. This has been ever since 2009. The amount of extremists in the country is proven by the belief that Beck got 2.2 million viewers each day still on his program. This was regardless of the drop in ratings in the past year. There are many that criticize him for all of his conspiracy theories. Hungarian-American financier Soros is a part of many theories.

Beck went too far with Soros, Judaism and Obama critiques

Theories as to why Glenn Beck is leaving behind his Fox News program abound. Business Insider suggests the decision came from Fox News President Roger Ailes, who privately was tired of being unable to rein in Beck's verbal excesses, yet publicly recognizes Beck's influence and does not want to burn any bridges. Beck has started using the Beck insider site to post exclusive content. It would make sense that Fox may be interested in getting rid of the program. However, as an anonymous Ailes employee once told the media, when Ailes claims "I look forward to continuing to work with him," the real meaning is "don't let the door hit you on the way out."

Beck may have made a few mistakes. Some blame him for this. The Jewish Anti-Defamation League got really angry when Beck made comments about George Soros. Furthermore, the Christian Science Monitor suspects that Beck's “Obama is a socialist” or “Obama is a racist” tirades have turned more people off than Fox News realized.

Fox desires absolute control of its stars

Unlike Fox News' peanut gallery of interchangeable talking heads who make an effort to stir controversy but will ultimately come to the master like dogs when rebuked, Fox News can't bring media mogul Glenn Beck to heel quite so very easily. However that does not mean Roger Ailes can't be moved to action by the tale of the advertising tape.

Fewer advertisers want to pay to be during Beck. They have gotten out of it. The Christian Science Monitor reports that in Jan 2011, there were 1.8 million viewers while Fox News had 2.9 million viewers in 2010. There were almost 1 million viewers lost in a year. New York and Philadelphia no longer air Glenn Beck's Mercury Radio program, and big-time advertisers like Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola and Walmart have abandoned the Glenn Beck Fox News show. It was probably hard to lose so much advertising.
