Is Your Mind Helping You or Hurting You?

What may not be apparent to you is that your brain is a huge movie theatre. In this Theatre, there are good plays and bad movies. There are sad plays and happy plays; In this beautiful, on-demand theater, so-to-speak, there are drama of countless dimensions; Many things are served in the theatre that exist in our brain, just like in the movie theatre, there are pop-corn, there are soda. There are good foods, bad food; healthy food and not-so healthy food.


Unlike the tangible theatre though, you are the owner of all the movies in the theatre of your brain; you hired the actors; you are responsible for dressing them up in the attire of your choice, you are responsible for putting them on the stage; you are responsible for crafting their lines and you are responsible for Animating them. It is your world, you own it and you can either continue to create bad actors or create good actors ;


When you watch a movie with many bad or very emotional activities happen, you feel a tingling as if those things on screen are happening in real time life; you are temporarily carried away and, for a moment, it appears your real world is submerged with the movie actors or plots
Of course, when it is time to go home, many will continue to remember the actors and continue to celebrate or enjoy (for good movies), the memories of all the pleasant things that happened


In the theatre of the brain, the movies we play are of different genre and they generate the same feeling, real feeling, as the one we experience when watching a real movie in a theatre. So, take a moment to think about the things that are occurring, the visual images that are on your mind when you are sad; the movies that are playing on your mind when you are happy. A good example is the image of that person you argued with at work yesterday or last week or years ago, that image continue to play on your mind and the image continue to generate the same feeling as when that even occur


Exercise: As part of this concise article, you need to write down all the memories that are playing, or the movies that are playing on your mind when you are happy. Also take a pen to Make a note of all the movies or plots that are playing on your mind when you are very sad; do the same thing for when you are worried, and one more for when you are afraid. The body respond to all these states of minds not just at the mind or mental levels, but also at the physiological level. A frequent but surprising occurrence is to break a sweat if you repeat on your mind a terrifying movie, and this is mostly movies that occurred in the past. if you are terrified of something, doing this exercise may help you uncover the mental images that are causing your Mental and Physiologic state


Re-Engineer your Mind Theatre: Look back at your life and list out instances when you were very happy and list out details of all the things that make you happy; Create the images and list out the very little minutia details. Remember the last joke that made you laugh . Remember the things that bring joy to your life. Create these images and make it a routine, depending on your situation, to repeat these images on your mind and play them very frequently, especially when you notice any of the bad actors coming back to your theatre. Many people who at first doubt the effectiveness of these exercises are baffled at the life-changing effects, but the reason this work is simple: the mind is a theatre, and very limited stages are available; it is rather tough to be playing two kind of music at the same time. You can either take active control, Employ the right actors, build the right script, and consciously direct the actions on your state, OR you can let your mind wander and pick actors, create script, and direct plays for you. Now you know. Now, it's your choice. Consciously directing the theater of your mind as explained in this article will change your life forever.
