Be Your Own Boss And Make A Great Income! Start An Auto Detailing Business!

Author: Justin From AutoDetailingBusiness.net

Most auto detailers will tell you you're crazy if you think you can easily make over $3,000 a month from an auto detailing business. I'm here to set them straight. I successfully ran my own auto detailing business for a couple of years (before selling it for 3 times the amount that I put into it) and made over $3,000 a month easily. The best part is... I never spent a dime on marketing or advertising!

You can start up an auto detailing business for very little investment and just buy more equipment as you expand. I would recommend mobile auto detailing because it allows for more convenience for the customers. As long as you have water and power you can work wherever you want and whenever you want.

Prices can range from the basic jobs at $30 to full details priced around $250. Basic jobs should take less than an hour and full details should take 3-4 hours depending on the vehicle.

When I was running a mobile auto detailing business I was making $100 on a slow day.. or on a day when I would settle for one job so I could spend time doing other things. On a busy day I could easily make $500.00. Some jobs (RVs and boats) even paid close to $1,000 in a day.

When starting out, it's good to do some "door to door" marketing. This means handing out fliers to local business or neighborhoods in your area. It's a good idea to focus on business and to try to get them on a monthly program where you can come on a certain day of the month to clean multiple cars. Small dealerships are a good way to get business on slow days or during the winter months (they just don't pay as much as your normal jobs).

Invest in some training or work for another auto detailing business until you master the skill of detailing cars. The last thing you want is a lawsuit for messing someone's car up because you lack proper traning. Make sure you dress and act professionally because a lot of your customers will be returning ones.
