Step 1. Each and every morning, get into gear and go for your run. Your run should be no less than one mile, but a maximum of three miles. This is important because long slow running will actually slow your CNS thus making you a slower fighter. Your runs ought to be done as quickly as possible to encourage maximum oxygen debt. It would be wise to alternate one mile runs, two mile runs and three mile runs into your MMA conditioning routine.
Step 2. Immediately after your run, super-set pull-ups and push-ups together for time. It is a crucial step and you must do it in this way: Start your stop watch or have someone time you. Beginning with pull-ups, do 25 -or as many as possible -then immediately drop and start your push-ups. Continue doing 25 pull-ups and 25 push-ups (or as many as possible) without any rest for a period of five minutes. After your five minute super-set, rest for just two minutes and repeat. Make this happen for a total of three, five-minute super-sets. The key reason why this is significant is really because your run only worked your lower body. The pull-up and push-up super-sets are working your full upper body and will complete the cardio-circuit

After warm up, you will alternate strikes, leg kicks, elbows and knees for three 5-minute rounds. This will get the blood flowing and gets you ready for your sparring and technique work.
